A path to recovery and a brighter future.

Genesis Alliance for Mental Wellness, LLC is Georgia-licensed, outpatient, substance abuse facility. Our multi-disciplinary team of medical, therapeutic and recovery professionals provide a coordinated approach to access and treat individuals with substance use disorders in scheduled sessions, utilizing the identified components of the service guideline.

Clients engage in intensive forms of rehabilitative therapies and behavioral modification training that target the behaviors and thinking patterns driving their alcohol and drug abuse.

Clients will receive 9 to 20 hours of service per week depending on their ASAM Level. Services are delivered during the day and evening hours to enable individuals to maintain residence in their community, continue work or go to school.

Clients can live at home and come into the rehabilitation center each day for treatment. The duration of treatment varies with the severity of the individual’s illness and response to treatment based on the individualized treatment plan, utilizing the best/evidenced based practices for the service delivery. Clinicians and clients work collaboratively to create individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based theories.

Harm Reduction

Our qualified team implements the harm reduction approach. This evidence-based approach is critical when working with people who actively using drugs. Harm reduction empowers our team to equip our clients with tools that can save their lives (preventing overdoses and the transmission of infectious diseases) as well as distribute information necessary for them to make positive changes.

Our focus is on enhancing the overall well-being of individuals including physical, mental, and social aspects while providing easily accessible healthcare services. This approach extends to the treatment of substance use and mental health disorders, emphasizing preventive measures for clients with co-occurring disorders. Clinicians are able to link clients to external medical and supportive agencies that will aid in their recovery and sobriety.

Harm Reduction is practical and easily transitions into the community enabling our team to incorporate public health strategies including prevention, risk reduction and health promotion. Additionally, this approach encourages people who use drugs to choose to live a life that is healthy, self-directed, and filled with purpose and meaning.

Substance Abuse Assessment

At the onset of treatment, our certified staff conducts in-depth substance abuse assessment including interviewing, implementation of specific assessment tools and drug screening. Scheduled and random drug screenings are conducted on all clients. Staff automatically collects a urine sample from clients and forward it to federally approved laboratories for analyzing and producing results relevant to negative and positive drug screenings necessary for treatment planning and court reporting. Results are integrated into the written substance abuse assessment. The laboratory examines the specimen for the presence of:

  • Cocaine
  • Amphetamines
  • Methamphetamines
  • Barbiturates
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Opiates
  • Marijuana
  • Methadone
  • Alcohol
  • Prescriptive Medication
