A community-based program that offers a variety of services to support mental wellness.

Community mental health was born out of a need for better ways to treat people living with serious mental health and substance abuse conditions.

Providing flexible services to address aspects of a person’s life.

At Genesis Alliance for Mental Wellness LLC, we are committed to providing services to our targeted population of individuals with mental illness, addictive disorders and developmental disabilities. We believe in the concept of respect and servicing individuals with evidence-based approaches. Accordingly, we utilize a continuum of care systems including medical and psychiatric treatments, nursing services, comprehensive pharmacological therapies, and multimodal therapies with emphasis on assisting our clients with enhancing internal motivation for achieving and maintaining maximum psychological functioning and/or recovery.

Here, we provide extraordinary dedication and guidance in helping our clients develop healthier lifestyles and optimal life experiences. We know that effective treatment must include a sense of several key elements: the family system, the clients’ interactions with their environment, the support system, and the ability to interact with the people and elements in their surroundings. Therefore, the services that we provide to adults, children and adolescents, and their family are offered beyond the clinical setting and in the places that are familiar to the client and their support systems.

Through our non-intensive outpatient program, we provide the following services tailored to fit the individual needs of each client.

  • Diagnostic Assessment and Psychiatric Treatment

Our clients receive psychiatric diagnostic evaluation in order to obtain the appropriate diagnosis, and medical and psychiatric care. Our psychiatrists monitor their client’s status with medication as well.

  • Behavioral Assessment

Every client completes a mental health assessment and develops a service plan to determine service appropriateness based upon medical necessity. The behavioral health assessment gathers all information needed to determine the client’s problems, symptoms, strengths, needs, abilities, resources, and preferences; develops a psychological, social and medical history; screens for substance abuse and prompts for a more in-depth assessment; determines functional level and degree of ability versus disability; and assesses trauma history and status (if applicable).

  • Individual Counseling

Our clinicians offer eclectic, individualized counseling strategies and techniques necessary to help our clients resolve personal, social, vocational, relapse, and intrapersonal and interpersonal concerns.

  • Group Counseling/Training

Our clients receive therapeutic services including counseling and skills training amongst their peers. This form of counseling has been found to be very supportive for group participants who experience similar issues.

  • Crisis Intervention

Our clinicians rapidly respond to the urgent needs of our clients who experience crises, which therefore, may lead to abrupt changes in their behavior. These professionals perform various interventions to help their clients “get back on track”.

  • Nursing Assessment, Health Services, and Medication Administration

Our licensed nurses conduct in-depth nursing and nutritional assessments. These assessments help drive precise medical treatment for our clients’ current and future care needs.

During treatment, nurses monitor and care for the physical, nutritional, and psychological issues manifested in the course of the client’s treatment. Additionally, medical personnel administer medication as ordered by the physician.

  • Service Plan Development

During service plan development, our clients establish goals and work on areas that they desire to change or improve in their lives. Goal development is driven by clients, influenced by those who know the client best, and supported by staff through various treatments and interventions.

  • Family Counseling/Training

We provide family counseling and skills training based upon the needs of the client and their family.

Family counseling and training provides systematic interactions between the identified individual, staff and the individual’s family members directed toward the restoration, development, enhancement or maintenance of functioning of the identified individual/family unit.

The focus of each session may address support of the family, as well as training and specific activities to enhance family roles; relationships, communication and functioning that promote the resiliency of the individual/family unit.

Family psychotherapy may occur with or without the client present (when appropriate).

  • Telemedicine, Telehealth and Telephonic Services

We understand that there are situations in which clients are unable to come into our clinic for services. Considering that continuity of care is pivotal, we offer telemedicine, telehealth, and telephonic services based upon the needs and preferences of our clients. These virtual services are provided via HIPPA-compliant software necessary to protect the privacy of our clients.
