Countless hours were spent to come up with a plan to assist the community in achieving mental wellness, as well as assisting people in having a healthy and happy lifestyle. With perseverance, motivation and dedication in making this vision become a reality, Genesis Alliance for Mental Wellness, LLC evolved.
Our mission is to meet people where they are and assist in their growth. Here, we believe in building healthy relationships with the people who we work with in order to help them achieve their goals. And that’s what we have been doing since the beginning!
In order to promote a healthier community, our services are tailored to meet the needs of all of our clients by way of our diverse treatment team. Our team is composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, Licensed Counselors, Licensed Social Workers, Certified Addiction Counselors, a wealth of master-level and bachelor-level professionals, and specialized paraprofessionals who have a vast amount of experience in areas including mental health, social services, psychological, educational, vocational, substance abuse, violence and forensic evaluations, individual/family/group therapy, child welfare movement, dysfunctional family dynamics, substance abuse assessment and screening, forensics, child-custody issues, sexual abuse and domestic violence.
GAMW staff has received extensive family preservation training through the Institute of Family Development.
Since 2003, GAMW has provided comprehensive services through Wrap Around services and Comprehensive Child and Family (CCFA) or formerly known as First Placement/Best Placement Assessments (FP/BP) for Georgia Department of Human Resources/ Department of Family and Children Services (DHR/DFCS). GAMW staff has provided Homestead, Parent Aide and Early Intervention services to families throughout Georgia as well.
GAMW has conducted numerous IMPACT trainings and home studies throughout Georgia.
GAMW has worked with the local community headstart programs to assist in assessing and consulting various programs operations for auditing and funding purposes. Additionally, GAMW served as an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to their employees.
As an extension to our comprehensive community services, GAMW became an approved Medicaid provider providing Intensive Family Intervention services. This program has allowed us to touch the lives of birth families, adoptive families, and foster families throughout Georgia.
