Early Intervention/Preventive Services aims to provide proactive family support and essential information on community resources, working diligently to prevent challenging family situations from reaching a critical stage that necessitates CPS (Child Protective Services) intervention. These services are specifically designed to support families who have had CPS involvement but have dispositions indicating low risk or cases that have been closed.
Early Intervention services are available for various CPS referral categories, including substantiated referrals with low-risk dispositions, closed unsubstantiated referrals, and screened-out referrals that have been reassessed and determined to be of low risk before closure.
By offering voluntary family support and connecting families with community services, we strive to intervene early and provide the necessary assistance to address concerns before they escalate. Our goal is to empower families, strengthen their resilience, and create a nurturing environment for children, fostering positive outcomes for the entire family unit.
