Genesis Alliance for Mental Wellness, LLC is a community mental health and substance abuse recovery agency. We focus on improving the lives of people with mental health and substance abuse disorders through a unified system of care.
Since 2002, our impact extends to various entities including DFCS, DJJ, hospitals, juvenile and adult courts, jails, assisted living facilities, group homes, independent living programs, foster parent associations, placement and adoption agencies, mental health facilities, and community resource agencies serving thousands of adults, adolescents, children, and families.
Our agency contracts with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). Additionally, we hold a substance abuse treatment facility license issued by the Department of Community Health (DCH). Since 2007, we have been accredited by CARF in the specialty areas including:
- Assertive Community Treatment
- Day Treatment
- Outpatient Treatment - Mental Health – Adults
- Outpatient Treatment - Mental Health - Children and Adolescents
In order to promote a healthier community, our services are tailored to meet the needs of all of our clients by way of our diverse treatment team. Our team consist of psychiatrists, licensed counselors, licensed social workers, certified addiction counselors, a wealth of master-level and bachelor-level professionals, and specialized paraprofessionals who have a vast amount of experience in areas including assessment and screening, individual/family/group therapy, substance abuse, child welfare, dysfunctional family dynamics, child-custody, violence/abuse, forensics or legal system, whole health and wellness, developmental disabilities and other disciplines.
Throughout the years, we have provided comprehensive services through Wrap Around services and Comprehensive Child and Family (CCFA) or formerly known as First Placement/Best Placement Assessments (FP/BP) for Georgia Department of Human Resources/ Department of Family and Children Services (DHR/DFCS). We provided Homestead, Parent Aide and Early Intervention services to families throughout Georgia as well. Our agency has conducted numerous IMPACT trainings and home studies throughout Georgia. Our team worked with the local community Head Start programs to assist in assessing and consulting various programs operations for auditing and funding purposes. Additionally, our agency served as an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to their employees.
